Vitalik Reveals He Owns Less Than $100 Mln Worth Of Cryptocurrencies, As He Declares That He's Not A Scammer

Dr. Doom, whose real name is Nouriel Roubini, an incurable cryptocurrency pessimist has launched an attack on Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin, who are the co-founders of the Ethereum network. The attack has received a lucid response from Vitalik Buterrin on Twitter of recent.

Nouriel Roubini’s Prominence and Attack on Vitalik and Joseph

Roubini is a professor of Economics at the New York University Stern School of Business, an incurable cryptocurrency pessimist. Nouriel Roubini became prominent in 2008 for predicting the economic meltdown which earned him the alias, Dr. Doom.
Dr. Doom as popularly called believes cryptocurrency is mere trash and has no possibility or value to add to the society. Roubini will be making a statement soon at a Senate Banking Committee Hearing, and his address is already dented with everything negative about cryptocurrency as revealed through his twitter handle.
His address contains statements that rubbishes cryptocurrency as the master of all scams, as well as tagging blockchain the underlying tech of cryptocurrency as glorified spreadsheet or database.
Subsequent to this, he went further to launch an attack on prominent personalities in the cryptocurrency space, in the person of Joseph Lubin and Vitalik Buterin. The tweet brands the two people as thieves and scammers for their involvement in selling what Nouriel described as a scam to the public.
This attack which further aided his opinion on cryptocurrency as the master of all scams brands the promoter and founder of blockchain solutions as scammers and thieves equally.

Vitalik Buterin Response to the Nouriel’s Tweet Attack

While the tweet expresses the misconception of cryptocurrency by Nouriel, Vitalik came out to clear the air and gave an appropriate response to the misconceived opinion.
Vitalik noted in the tweet response that he has never personally held more than ~0.9% of all ETH asset, and his net worth has never come close to $1b. So Also, he noted that he is very sure that there are no criminal laws against pre-mining. This does not include sale only, but also some gifts and charity donations.
The current crypto holdings of Vitalik as revealed in the tweet shows that he holds 365,003 ETHs, which is in the value of over $74 million and also holds $100,000 in OmiseGo (OMG). These are the big trades according to Buterin, while he still has some that are relatively small.
