Tron’s founder, Justin Sun gave a hint of the possibility of a partnership between Tron and Ethereum taking place this year. Sun noted this during an interview on The Crypto Chick podcast on April 6.
Tron, Ethereum Collaboration
Justin Sun stated that he thinks the Tron Ecosystem will officially collaborate with Ethereum this year. He emphasized that “even within this year we will see Tron even collaborate, officially collaborate, with Ethereum.”
Also, in response to a question on Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s recent tweets about Tron, he responded that he thinks that competition brings a better product. In addition, he stated that “I think in the future we will even collaborate with lots of Ethereum developers and also the enterprises built on Ethereum before to make the industry better.”
Like Sun stated, healthy competition in the cryptocurrency industry will lead to the innovation of better product which will be more beneficial for the crypto users. Also, the innovation of better products will accelerate the growth and development of the industry.
So also, a collaboration between Tron and Ethereum will lead to the innovation of excellent products that will accelerate the growth of the industry. The products of the collaboration will also aid cryptocurrency adoption.
In essence, Sun’s thought on the relationship between Tron and Ethereum will be welcomed in the crypto industry.
Tron’s Second Layer Scalability Solution
Also, during the podcast, Sun announced that a second layer scalability solution for Tron, which he claims will increase transaction throughput at least 100 times and dramatically decrease fees, will be deployed in the second quarter of 2019. Recently, Tron tweeted about the second layer scalability solution which is named Sun Network, but he has refused to reveal the exact launch date.
Further, Sun also revealed that the Tron-based version of stablecoin Tether (USDT) is set to launch on April 9. He explained that the Tron-based version of the stalwart stablecoin would enable cheaper and faster transactions than the Bitcoin (BTC) – based Omni protocol USDT. In addition, Sun stated that Tron would also introduce a “new network with a privacy option,” based on the technology used by altcoin Zcash ( ZEC), in the second quarter of the year.
Meanwhile, ahead of the launch of Tron-based version of stablecoin Tether ( USDT ), two major crypto exchanges — Singapore-headquartered Huobi Global and Malta-based OKEx announced their support for the Tron-based version of USDT in March. Earlier in April, the Tron Foundation had asked developers to remove gambling DApps from the Japanese market in order to comply with local regulations
