Startup Arianne Will Leverage Ethereum Tech To Certify Luxury Items

A cryptocurrency startup called Arianee is building a multi-brand luxury items registry platform, primarily based in blockchain tech. This platform will let users, curators and brand managers share important data to solve many problems that luxury brands are facing today.
Arianne emerges as a response to the always present problem as of luxury goods counterfeit. Year after year, skilled manufacturers pour millions of dollars to make their goods look like well-established brands, like Louis Vuitton and Hermes. These brands have their own control elements to try and counter these counterfeiters; like exclusive serial numbers and tags, directed to verify the uniqueness of every article. But even with these elements, manufacturers are having a hard time fighting fake articles.
Serial Numbers can be copied and NFC tags can be faked; so that is why a decentralized blockchain based registry is useful. Arianee will be built on top of the Ethereum network, and it will leverage the power of ERC-721, the same protocol used for the collectible game Cryptokitties, because in fact, every one of the goods will be classified as a unique token, with its own characteristics and traits that will differentiate it from teh rest.
The idea is that every original item should be registered in the blockchain by the same vendor at the purchase time. Also, this kind of registry can be useful for second-hand sales, confirming to the parties involved that the items on sale are indeed original. All of this important information will be available to owners in the immutable form of the blockchain, a thing that will also help item historians to certify the authenticity of super special items in case of an auction; like for example, the handbag that a famous person wore in the wedding of another famous person.
Also, Arianee will work with curators and maintainers to offer incentives for support work; that is, for cleaning a bag or repairing it. They haven’t been able to disclose the brands that will spearhead this effort. By using the same tech that Cryptokitties leverage, they will try to address these problems; another fact that shows blockchain’s incredible versatility.
