Senate Hearing Calls for Creation of Blockchain Congressional Committee

Members of the senate were introduced to block-chain technology and its uses to further understand the possible future applications of crypto-based technology and its applications. They were presented with some use cases for the said technology, and different implementations that ranged from voting, to article tracking.

They were exposed to the benefits of these techs over other used, tried and true techs in efficiency and costs; and also to the possible downsides of it. A call for the creation of a congressional group for these kinds of techs was made, and emphases was put in the acquisition of knowledge that will be of use when regulators discuss these matters.

This is very important, because this might be the start of a true massification of block-chain tech applications, and the origin of some kind of regulation of it; though this was not discussed in the said meeting.
