Ripple Donates $4 Million to Ellen's Nature Fund Through Ashton Kutcher

Ripple, the cryptocurrency, and remittance platform company, was the star today in the Ellen Degeneres show, as they donated more than 4 million dollars to the Ellen Degeneres Nature Fund using XRP, the cryptocurrency that they use for its operations.
Ripple is a company that created the ripple payment protocol that uses a cryptocurrency also called ripple (XRP) to manage remittances and payment conciliation. This technology has been adopted by several banks and has made breakthroughs for being safer, quicker, cheaper and more efficient than bank wires made now.
Ashton went incognito mode to the Ellen show and surprised her with his presence there. They are longtime friends and neighbors, and Ashton had a pretty special birthday present for her. Ashton has a cryptocurrency fund with Guy Oseary, another of Ellen’s friends, and they are going to invest in Ripple technology. They talked with Ripple executives about Ellen and they decided to fund Ellen’s Nature Fund with 4 million dollars worth of Ripple. The donation was made with Kutcher’s phone by the same Ellen in the program.
Kutcher mocked the old way of donating through checks and stated:

“…PEOPLE COME OUT WITH A BIG GIANT CHECK AND DO THE ‘BIG GIANT CHECK THING…WE CAN TRANSFER IT INTO RWANDAN FRANCS RIGHT NOW RIGHT HERE, AND ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PUSH THIS BUTTON”

highlighting how easy is to transfer humongous quantities of money through cryptocurrencies and with low to no fees. Ripple has had a long history of donation to funds and charities; the latest one being the donation of 29 million dollars that they made to DonorsChoose, an educational funding program last March.
This is not the first time that Ellen has had cryptocurrencies featured in her program; earlier this year, Ellen presented bitcoin as something that could only take two values: $20,000 or zero; and compared it to a digital baby goat, that you want to pet but you can’t, because it’s not real.
