Playboy TV Now Accepting Crypto Payments

As of late, more and more businesses are venturing into accepting cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment. News of a Taiwanese Airline embracing this kind of change has recently made rounds all over the internet recently, same goes for a nightclub in Las Vegas which allows their dancers to accept payment through Bitcoin via QR tattoos. Even the multi-billion dollar company Microsoft did, way before others. They only halted the operations due to instability on December 26, 2017. It was restored only a month later as per the announcement of a Microsoft spokeswoman.
The latest addition to this league of companies is the adult content network- Playboy TV. They have stated in an announcement that by the end of the year, a cryptocurrencny wallet will be created. They will primarily accept a cryptocurrency called Vice Industry Token- which is in its ICO stage right now with one week remaining.
The Vice Industry Token (VIT) has made more than $16 million through their ICO. VIT was created to enable users to buy adult content using cryptocurrencies. This comes with a major advantage: The possibility of tracking the real user engagement on different adult content websites.
In their most recent release regarding the matter, Playboy TV has said that users could “view, vote or comment on their channel using VITs.” Reena Patel, Chief Operations Officer and Licensing and Media for  Playboy Enterprises said: “As the popularity of alternative payment methods continues to grow around the world, along with the reach Playboy’s digital platforms, we felt it was important to give our 100 million monthly consumers increased flexibility.” In addition to this, Playboy also hinted that if the results are favourable, there is a possibility of their cryptocurrency wallet being used in other services such as gaming, augmented reality and VR.
