The Petro Is Officially Launched

The Venezuelan government has formally launched the Petro Cryptocurrency, in a meeting held in Caracas at midnight. It was launched by Venezuelan Vice-president Tarek El Aissami and the Minister of University Education, Hugbel Roa.
El Aissami stated that this was a great step for the economic freedom of the Venezuelan people; spearheaded by the efforts of President Nicolas Maduro and inspired by the thoughts of deceased president Hugo Chavez. He also declared: ”From here on, Venezuelan digital asset comes to respect all the rules of the best crypto coin communities out there, to generate trust in the national and international markets”
“The Petro has been born. Today we start the official presale of the Venezuelan Petro. Venezuela puts itself at the front for the future, being the first state that launches a crypto coin backed up with its natural wealth. We have a lot to celebrate tonight.”
The guidelines for acquiring Petros and exchanges where the Petro can be acquired are available on the official Petro site. The Petro official Twitter feed mentioned that it can be acquired on EtherDelta.
