Opera now lets its wallet users send crypto collectibles from its wallet. The details of the new feature on the opera wallet were made in a press release on its blog on the 7th of September 2018.
The Opera Wallet And Its New Advantages
In addition to the beta version of the builtin browser wallet launched by Opera in July of 2018, the firm in a press release informs the public of adding two new features to the wallet. These features improve the user’s experience of Web3 Dapps and crypto-payments on the web in general, aiding the wider use of the wallet.
Sending Collectibles Using Opera Wallet
One of the features added to the Opera Wallet is the ability of users sending collectibles from the wallet. In the press release, Opera mentioned that they are a big fan of collectibles, and that’s because they are unique digital items that can be gained on the blockchain and collected in wallets just like digital coins and tokes.
Though digital things in “collectibles”, “unique tokens” or “non-fungible tokens or “NIFTYs” are still at the early stage of development, Opera offers its wallet users the ability to collect, send and store items such as baseball cards or CryptoKitties using the wallet. This previously requires visiting the digital marketplace and trading them, but Opera has changed this which is now as easy as sending money using Venmo in the U.S.
Opera envisages an increase in the trend as technology and usability improves, more online games and related services is expected to adopt such tokens.
Transaction Status Notification
Another unique feature added to the wallet include the notification of transaction. Transactions are not confirmed instantly in most cases and the moment the transaction is completed is not always known.
Opera wallet has adopted a tracking measure, monitoring transactions and alerting wallet owners when transactions are completed, giving the cryptocurrency wallet an edge amongst others. The Opera wallet supports Ethereum, ERC-20 Tokens and ERC-721 Unique Tokens.
Android users can download the wallet by visiting the wallet’s download page.
