Microsoft Excel Users Could Start Sending And Receiving Bitcoin (BTC) Within The App Real Soon

Transacting with Bitcoin BTC is now made possible with the Microsoft Excel plugin through the lightning network. The latest solution which has seen a wide interest is still under development by Pierre Rochard, a software engineer and Founder of Bitcoin Advisory.

Pierre Rochard’s Innovation with Microsoft Excel, and the Lightning Network

Through a series of tweets in recent time, Pierre Rochard, a software engineer informed the crypto sphere of how he developed a Microsoft Excel plugin that would enable Bitcoin BTC transactions.
The name of the newly developed solution as stated in the tweet is Neutrino which is a development that is created for LNs, light clients, which enables those that do not run a complete node to make payments with the technology. Rochard noted that the solution would aid the Windows + Excel users make and receive payments via the Lightning Network in few clicks.
The project is being developed with the Lightning Network Daemon, which is still in beta version 0.5. However, the tech is of high significance to the future of the crypto space as it stimulates the adoption and familiarizes the tech with the population that is not frequent to the type of operation.

The Innovation Is An Experiment

While the revelation of the innovation has stimulated interest and attraction, Rochard in his interaction with community members stated that the project is still an experiment as development is ongoing on it.
In response to the request for more clarification and the potential of the new development, Rochard stated that the development of the application is justified by the 99.9 percentage of users that participate in the financial ecosystem which is also users of Microsoft Excel or has experienced any contact with the suite before.
Meanwhile, a specific date is yet to be announced for the official release of the solution. However, Rochard stated that great progress had been made on the solution and it is already practically completed, and the public release should likely be at the end of the month.
Notably, the plugin will be open source, which makes it subjective to innovation and improvement. This feature adds the plugin to the growing list of applications that are being built on the lightning network. The lightning network platform has seen the games and betting platform, the online micro-tasking platform also developed and also intelligent bicycle that its route can be paid for with bitcoin through Lightning network.
