Megastar Boxer, Manny Pacquiao to Launch His own Cryptocurrency

Manny Pacquiao, one of the best welterweight boxers in recent times might be known to boast about his acquisitions a lot; he could just be on the verge of boasting of his own cryptocurrency too, and rightfully so.
StraitsTimes recently reported that the mega star’s cryptocurrency launch has been scheduled for the end of the year, where the initial launch of the token would be handled by Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX). The Singapore-based exchange has a familiar history with sporting figures, and the recent development would not be a surprise to many. Pacquiao’s soon-to-be-launched digital token, dubbed Pac tokens, is set to capitalize on the boxing star’s popularity.
Manny Pacquiao, based in the Philippines, and also a senator of the state has his team working on the volume of Pac tokens and the estimated value that would be offered to the public. Evan Ngow, the chief communications officer for the Singaporean exchange, explained the process is near completion and revealed the only probable cause for the delay. Once an agreement is reached with Phillippine Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Filipino authority finalizes its ruling concerning initial coin offerings, the launch would take place.
GCOX is not the only cryptocurrency body that Pacquaio is involved with; growing blockchain platform, tGCO, also facilitates the opportunity for different celebrities to create their own unique tokens which fans can use to transact on the platform or to purchase undivided celebrity-related content.
GCOX has been working with celebrities and popular figures for the majority of its existence, with its focus on the standard building of a reference-able index of popularity. The exchange suggests the popularity of a celebrity could be deduced from the value of the token assigned to each popular figure on the platform.
Undefeated welterweight champion, Floyd Mayweather, and famous boxer Evander Holyfield are also boxing stars that have shown interest in the cryptocurrency industry in the past, with the former very well known for the promotion of more than a few ICOs.
In similar news, Micheal Owen, retired English football legend and Jason Derulo, American hip-hop star, are among the all-star names on GCOX’s next list of token projects.
