Male Attendees Dominate Crypto Events With Almost 80 Percent – Bizzabo Report

A report of Bizzabo, an event-oriented software on the 28th of January indicated that 79 percent of attendees of crypto events are male while the female 21 percent. The result of their report is based on a survey of 15 different countries.

Male Attendees Dominant At Crypto Events

After a survey of 15 countries which include the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Israel, Hong Kong, China, Australia, among others, Bizzabo an event-oriented software arrived at its report of the male gender dominating crypto events attendance in the world. This included analysis of the registration information of 100 different events in the countries.
Alon Alroy, Co-founder of Bizzabo, noted in the report that similar happenings on lack of gender diversity in the tech industry are also prevalent in the crypto space. He further noted that the financial services and technology sectors have all struggled with inclusion and it has a cascading effect on the gender mix at the events presently.
Further, the report also stated that 57 percent of attendees were employed in the financial sector, other registrants include 14 percent in the IT information technology field, 13 percent in the computer software and 10 percent in the banking sector and others. Notably, the report noted that the US leads other countries in numbers of attendees and registrants at crypto events.

Prevalent Of The Male-Dominated World

Gender mixture or inclusion in various industries remains a debate and a goal to be attained in most sectors. And the goal lies in making the female gender more inclusive as the male dominate most field. This is also prevalent in the crypto space.
The report of crypto finance company circle, in September 2018 on the demographic of crypto investors shows that millennial women invest in cryptocurrency at half the rate of men.
A report of Bizzabo in November 2018 also revealed the lopsided ratio of male speakers to female at events in U.S., Canada and the U.K. The gender diversity and inclusion report noted that 70 percent of speakers at events in the countries are male. The report also indicated that the most inclusion is showcased in the united states where 35 percent of speakers were female and the 65 percent male.
The underrepresentation of the female gender in the crypto sector though far behind was noted to have increased in 2018, in the report of a UK based crypto exchange, block.
