LocalBitcoins Trader Raided By Two Trespassers In His House

A LocalBitcoins cryptotrader went through a bad experience yesterday when two men robbed him two hundred dollars in cash while raiding his home located in Northborough, in the state of Massachusets, according to an article published by Cryptoglobe. The incident apparently was planned because the assailants asked the trader for cash and also for bitcoin, something that goes to show that they were aware that he was a bitcoin trader.
The man, known as USMC1991 was assaulted and pointed with a gun in the home, and repeatedly asked to turn all the bitcoin and the cash that he had. He then said that he did not have any bitcoin and gave some cash to the robbers, but they were not convinced of what he said. USMC1991 knew that he was in a rough spot and decided to act swiftly: he ran to the main entrance and fled outside the house while telling the robbers to get away to the car.
Luckily, he did not panic and while they were getting away he noticed the license plate number from the thieves car and instructed the neighbors to call 911 while they fled. This mental quickness allowed the police to catch them quickly the same day that the felony was committed.
USMC1991 was likely targeted by the assailants because of his profile on the site LocalBitcoins, a peer to peer decentralized bitcoin exchange where traders make business with other traders directly. Also, the assailants did work to get into his house before; they disconnected all the internet cables and also disabled the security siren that the trader had to alert of a possible break-in.
USMC1991 recommended that traders must have a CCTV security system to watch over their security, he remarked that if he had bought one earlier, he would have been able to notice the assailants before the break-in and act accordingly. But no one was hurt and they burglars were detained.
