Kik Interactive Creates Its Own Cryptocurrrency Platform

Kik Interactive, a Canadian based company which offers chat-based support services, has launched its own cryptocurrency platform last June 27. The said platform is powered by Kik’s cryptocurrency called Kin. It is the first application to integrate its own cryptocurrency with its own developed platform as reported in Coindesk.
According to Ted Livingston, founder and CEO of Kik and Kin, “Our goal is to make Kin the most used cryptocurrency in the world and getting Kin into the hands of more Kik users is a critical step in achieving this. He added, “Blockchain is a new and complex technology, but consumers don’t have to understand the technology in order to use it. With these new experiences, we want to demonstrate how simple and seamless cryptocurrency-driven experiences can be.”
Kik now introduces new features on its platform, the chat themes. Users can now customize their chat screens. Kik offers more opportunities now for their users to earn Kin cryptocurrency. Clients can use their Kin cryptocurrency to upgrade their chat themes through the platform’s marketplace beta. Marketplace beta is the center for all Kin’s experiences.
At the start, the platform provides limited functionalities because it is still in its testing phase. During the testing period, Crypto testers can earn their kin cryptocurrency by completing various tasks such as taking quizzes, watching tutorials, and answering polls. Those who will earn can use their Kin cryptocurrency to buy premium themes for their app’s chat screen. These can be purchased in Kin Marketplace. But since this is just a beta trial, users will not be able to withdraw or deposit their cryptocurrency, according to an article published in CCN.
Kik is determined to advance blockchain technology and to push boundaries in the blockchain ecosystem. It will use its very own Kin cryptocurrency to establish its mainstream presence. In order to capture their target market, Kik intends to introduce various interesting online experiences to its customers such as creating their own contents and liking their own chat themes through the platform. The platforms’ features can only be accessed through Kin cryptocurrency.
Those who are interested with Kin cryptocurrency and Kin Marketplace may check them out through Android and IOS devices
