Israeli’s Security Authority has implemented blockchain tech into its messaging tool to combat cybersecurity problems and also meet the information security challenges.
Blockchain Tech Solution Implemented By The Israel Security Authority
A recent announcement by the Israeli Security Authority on Wednesday informed the public of new development to the agency’s messaging system.
The latest development as announced is the implementation of the blockchain technology, the tech more popular as the underlying technology of cryptocurrency. Though its vitality has been proven to be unending to man, the tech has seen an application to many facets of the human society.
The blockchain technology which was used to revamp the Israeli Security Authority system is known as Yael. Yael is used by the government agency to deliver messages and information to bodies under its regulations.
The blockchain system was developed by an IT firm, Taldor, over the last three months. As noted by the security authority, the blockchain tech adds another layer to the system that ensures the credibility of the information relayed to the supervised bodies. Also, the technology verifies the messages authenticity, prevent fraud, and prevent messages from being edited or deleted. Furthermore, the system functions in preventing denial that a message was received from the ISA.
Further, the blockchain technology was introduced to the Yael system by the security watchdog to pursue the vision of the agency to promote financial innovation in the capital market.
The director of the ISA’s Information Systems Department, Natan Hershkovitz stated that the world is witnessing a growing trend around the world and in the financial field especially, as innovative and revolutionary technology is adopted daily.
Natan also further noted that implementing the blockchain technology in the Israeli Security Authority information system makes it one of the leading global authorities in securing the information provided to the public and its credibility and one of the leaders in the Israel public sector.
Further Plans For Blockchain Tech In The Country
The blockchain system will not only be introduced into the Israel Security authority messaging system; it will be embedded into two more systems in the country soon.
This will be implemented into the online voting system developed by the ISA, to help investors in participating actively in meetings from anywhere. Also, it will be implemented in Magna which serves the purpose of aiding recording reports of bodies supervised by the ISA.
