Iran's Official Believes Blockchain Technology Can Improve the National Economy

Alireza Daliri, Iran’s deputy for management and investment at the Directorate for Scientific and Technological Affairs has made suggestions. The deputy believes that Blockchain Technology can improve the national economy. Therefore, he is encouraging the private and public sectors to build infrastructures that will encourage its growth.

140 Countries Have Adopted the Distributed Ledger Technology

Alireza Daliri said about 140 countries in the world have already adopted the distributed ledger technology (DLT). As such, the government needs to collaborate with these countries with the aim of fostering the growth of modern technologies. According to the deputy, technology’s growth in the region can impact significantly on Iran’s economy.
The Blockchain enthusiast further stated that Blockchain is a digital ledger which can be used to store records. This is a ledger that is secure due to the nature of its cryptography and as such, the records cannot be changed easily. This makes it difficult for its information to be tampered with and it helps to foster trust between those working with its stored data.

Ease in Sharing Information Between Participants of a Network

Alireza also pointed out that participants of a network can access information stored on the DLT. These are people who have been granted access rights to the data stored on the DLT, and they can see any changes made to it in real time. He also noted that while this technology has its disadvantages, its benefits will greatly outweigh the risks it may pose.
This is a technology that will eliminate some of the bureaucratic procedures that are usually involved. Its application can be useful to different industries in the future. That being so, the deputy is calling on the government to encourage and facilitate companies in the Blockchain industry.

Reputable Leaders Around the World Suggest the Use of Blockchain

Reputable leaders in other countries are also making suggestions on how the Blockchain can be used to improve their economy. Yulia Tymoshenko, Ukraine’s former prime minister, suggested that Blockchain should be used in taking public inventories. This will involve the storing of state registries on the DLT to prevent people from tampering with them.
Last week, Warrenton Davidson, a U.S. congressman was of the opinion that the Blockchain could help in building a border wall for the US. This is through the raising of funds on a decentralized platform where people will be issued a Wall coin. This funds could save the Senate from spending more money since the public can sponsor the wall.
