IBM Builds New Decentralized Blockchain Yellow Pages

IBM has partnered Hacera to build blockchain network distributed yellow pages as revealed by Jerry Cuomo, Vice President at IBM Blockchain, in a blog post on Thursday, 13th September.

Need For Blockchain Network Distributed Yellow Pages

Yellow pages first emerged in the 1830s and served as an organized directory for businesses. This had a significant effect on the industrial revolution by placing the business on the world map and making them known to the world.
A similar effect was brought to the internet world in the 1990s by ICANN coordinating many directories that included the domain name system. This was unique to the launching of the world wide web, transforming businesses and making it publicly addressable and digitally interactable.
Like internet was budding as the future of technology over two decades ago, the same way the blockchain is also taking effect. Annexing its benefits and aiding it growth has seen IBM and Hacera to partner for the blockchain network version of yellow pages.

The Blockchain Network Distributed Yellow Pages

IBM partners Hacera unbounded registry as a founding member. The Hacera unbounded registry is to cater for the extensive growth of the blockchain consortiums, network, and applications. This well-sorted listing till bring various projects to the limelight and will enable better partnerships in the future as people can easily find and reach project teams they believe they can work with, in building better blockchain projects.
The unbounded registry built on the blockchain technology gives a decentralized method to register, lookup, join and transact across different blockchain solutions. This is created for interoperability of the most popular distributed ledger technologies such as; The Linux Foundation’s Hyperledger Fabric, Hyperledger Sawtooth, R3 Corda, EEA Quorum, Stellar Network among others.
Jerry further noted that no one person could build the blockchain, but the coming together of the community, innovators of like minds that share the same vision on transforming the way global business functions. This has been the goal of IBM’s partnerships, relating to firms in the blockchain world.

What The Hacera Unbounded Registry Offers

The Hacera, unbounded registry feature, offers the cryptocurrency community; reserve naming for network applications and consortiums, discoverability of blockchain network and applications.
Also, this offers; a catalog of domain-specific functions and services, and an independent open shared blockchain backed platform. This aids the bootstrapping, launching and promotes the growth of the community.
This project will aid the future of blockchain tech by letting users and blockchain service providers discover each other and help conduct businesses more securely.
