The platform was prompted by the frustration he encountered while trying to add a new merchant to an existing Bitcoin Cash Directory. He noted that AcceptBitcoin.cash was instrumental for this, however, the lengthy procedure that makes submitted merchants to take weeks if they ever appear at all, because the platform is careful of listing different type of good and products with questionable legal standings. This prompted him to create a platform where anybody could sign up any time and instantly add any merchant to its directory. Brack noted that the website took him two dedicated weeks to build.
The major challenge that Brack faced thus far is the problem of populating the site with merchants and designing a means to fight off the impact of spam and encourage the genuine use of the site. While these two are still a work in progress, he stated that he plans to reach out to communities on Reddit, Memo.cash, and other places for advice on how to move the platform forward.
Future Goals For Greenpages.cash
Brack noted that his plans for the platform in the next five years are for the platform to be filled with merchants, reviews, and users sharing all their favorite Bitcoin Cash businesses.
On future enhancement for the platform, Brack stated that in the immediate future that he plans to add a region tag to the merchants in the database. This is to aid stores without brick and mortar location to have a designated shipping region.
Also, to combat possible form of spam, the platform founder stated that he would be implementing some reporting/flagging system and reviews for merchants. This will aid collaboration and also finding genuine Bitcoin Cash merchants easily.
