Google To Bring Blockchain Services To Google Cloud Platform

Google is reportedly entering the blockchain services business, providing their customers the possibility of creating decentralized ledger applications with the use of an easy interface and with the support of the Google brand. Via the Google Cloud Platform, they will offer this service as an aggregate for already existing consumers. They announced this today via a press release earlier today.
For offering this service to the Google Cloud customers they have partnered with a company called Digital Asset, a leading brand in developing blockchain solutions mostly for fintech clients, offering trustable decentralized solutions. Digital Asset is backed by the experience of Blythe Masters, a successful woman that reached the position of Managing Director of J.P. Morgan at the age of 28. Digital Asset has been around since 2014, serving various important customers in the process of adapting their solutions to the blockchain.
Google will now offer Cloud customers the possibility of programming web-based blockchain applications with the help of Digital Asset’s Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML), a proprietary language that lets application developers build decentralized solutions only by focusing on the solution itself, rather than in how it should be programmed.
Leonard Law, Head of Financial Services Platform at Google Cloud, declared positively about the advantages that blockchain tech will have for their customers stating that:

“DLT has great potential to benefit customers not just in the financial services industry, but across many industries, and we’re excited to bring these developer tools to Google Cloud.”

Google had been conspicuously separated from blockchain solutions till now when it finally included blockchain as a service in Cloud. on of their toughest competitors in the field, Amazon Web Services had included this tech earlier this year, based in Ethereum technology. IBM, that is a heavy hitter in this field is also offering these services with in-house built solutions. This new announcement confirms that blockchain is a powerful tech to be reckoned in cloud systems and that its adoption is still in incipient stages.
