Gallup: Bitcoin Intrigues Investors, Even if They Ignore How It Works

A new Gallup poll has now been released by the famous polling agency, that has while most investors are not interested in getting down with bitcoin, a significant amount of investor are seriously intrigued by the model of bitcoin and how it is positioned to substitute conventional investment and payment method, both at once. This was declared by the same consulting firm in their web blog.
Gallup is one of the most respected consulting company in the United States, widely known for its opinion polls that have been released since its foundation in 1930. So this poll really reflects the opinion of the investors of America about cryptocurrencies. The poll found out some interesting things about how most Americans view cryptocurrencies and how they have set their thoughts around it.
First and foremost, there is an alarming lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies and the use of them. Although nowadays the use and knowledge of how cryptocurrencies work are widespread, investors who have the capital to really put money in crypto do not know how they are designed or just really how they function. Less than 30% of investors know anything about bitcoin.
But this lack of knowledge does not extend to the depths of not recognizing that investing in cryptocurrencies is a risky business. This due to the big swings in prices and the general instability of the market, that is known by all investors. According to the poll, more than 75 percent of the polled answered that bitcoin is a very risky investment.
This could lead to think that bitcoin while being unknown by most investors and also being considered a very risky investment, would not raise any interest amongst the community of investors. But although this is partly true, there is also another reading of the results: even after all that, bitcoin intrigues more than a quarter of the polled. A thing that is amazing given the formerly exposed facts.
