Ethereum Founder Called Craig Wright A Fraud

Things sure heated up at Deconomy 2018 in South Korea. The conference that deals with all things about distributed economy was the event that served as background to a clash between Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum founder, and Craig Wright, who is referred as Chief Scientist at nChain.
The incident started with Buterin criticising the declarations of Wright concerning some technical issues regarding Lightning Network. Lightning Network and Plasma are second layer solutions for Bitcoin and Ethereum. second layer solutions are systems that use blockchain as a support to do payments and exchanges of cryptocurrencies. Vitalik stated that what he had said earlier had no logic and then he attacked him.

Why is this fraud allowed to speak at this conference?”

Then he was clapped by some of the assistants there, and even Joseph Poon, the creator of the mentioned second layer solutions said that he wrote those solutions and he did not understand what he (Craig) was saying.
This is the last of the public problems that Craig SWright has had. He also proclaimed himself as the bitcoin creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, with dire consequences. On the matter at hand, he is known to be an advocate of Bitcoin Cash, a fork of Bitcoin that augmented the block size as a solution for the scalability issues of the blockchain. So, he is a natural critic of Lightning Network and other second layer solutions. But the natural animosity that could be between them turned into bad blood today.
The full altercate can be viewed in a Youtube video, shown here.

Deconomy 2018 has gathered entrepreneurs, leaders, investors, developers, academic and policy groups, and blockchain enthusiasts from all over the world. The forum consists of a two-day program, and it will continue through the course of the day. We’ll keep an eye on new developments in this important conference.
