Denmark Vikings Breaking Shores in Crypto-Space

After shutting up shop as regards Bitcoin purchase of foods last year, has once again listed Bitcoin as a viable payment option for some delicious meals.

Bit a Pizza

When Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC back in 2010, he did not know he would be buying the most expensive pizzas in human history.  As of then, with a BTC worth barely $25 and much less relatively unknown, forking thousands of Bitcoin to buy exquisite, delicious pizzas didn’t seem much of an unfair deal. Now with 10000 BTC commanding values above $70million, Hanyecz would be gritting to regurgitate in a bid to eat his pizza all over again, throughout this year and the next!
This has just gone to show the amazing progress that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have made over the years.  While a lot of optimists had a lot of hope for Bitcoin and the possible adoption of cryptocurrencies all over the world, not many would have predicted a 25$ Bitcoin hitting $19000 in 2017, especially not Hanyecz.
Hanyecz commented on the event a few years back:

“It wasn’t like Bitcoins had any value back then, so the idea of trading them for a pizza was incredibly cool -No one knew it was going to get so big.”

Explosion in Denmark

Denmark is much pretty known for their exciting culture and rich history, as various television series, novels and dramas continue to be built on this historical premise. In a similar vein, the country has shown it is not shy of breaking boundaries and shores, unlike the Viking ages, as it leaps into the financial crypto space before others.
A recent interview has revealed that more than 1500 restaurants in the country have Bitcoin listed as a viable trade exchange. What is more interesting, Denmark has been posting numbers in thousands even since 2014., an online platform for ordering delicious online takeaways stopped its service of accepting Bitcoin as payment for meal orders last year when Bitcoin was on a high, as it consequently resulted in slower transactions and less comfortable user experience. However, has communicated that it has reinstated the service after the problems have been resolved. A representative from the company announced:

“The problems have since been solved, and we have added the option again… handle the payment, so you will always be able to use Bitcoins with all the restaurants currently found on”

Are you in Denmark and hungry? Bit a pizza now!
