Cryptocurrency To Transform Tourism Industry

The growth of blockchain and cryptocurrency has enticed various industries which include tourism to incorporate cryptocurrency on their transactions.
As reported in Coindesk, there are several budding tourism companies which created programs that are centred on the blockchain industry. Among these are CryptoCribs, BlockchainCruise, and Cryptonation. There are startup and luxury organized tours which attract travellers who are crypto enthusiasts or crypto curious.
CoinsBanks, a crypto wallet provider company based in Scotland has already set up two cruises for the affluent who are into cryptocurrency and/or interested to know more about it. Another cruise is being planned in September.
The said tour is an exclusive event. The company screens applicants who want to join the tour. It aims to“curate an experience in which you participate, meeting top thought leaders and engaging in lots of peer-to-peer exchange with other curious, energetic and knowledgeable participants.”
CoinsBank estimated 2,500 guests to join the five-day trip. The price of the tickets ranges from 1,000 euros to 3,000 euros. The guests will be toured from Barcelona to Monaco, then to Ibiza, and back to where they started- Barcelona.
Aside from the usual tour, a Coinbank representative said, “We’ve also planned several more workshops, the hackathon and even Miss Blockchain contest to support diversity in the industry.”
Another company Crypto Explorers, organize a business-focused trip to “Crypto Valley” (Central Switzerland). The said trip is focused on meeting up with various Crypto Valley-based entrepreneurs, government authorities, lawyers, investors, and businessmen. These people are into crypto innovation and are also interested to network with their fellow crypto- enthusiasts.
In Israel, there ’s a company called Innovation Experience which hosts tours and promotes ICO (Initial Coin Offering) seriously. Israel is known for their startup companies and has numerous blockchain startups.
These efforts to promote tourism and cryptocurrency may be relatively new and small. But these are already good starting points to see how cryptocurrency and tourism can help each other to progress.
