Canaan Creative Releases The First Bitcoin Mining TV Set

Mining cryptocurrencies is a process that let the users provide specialized hardware and the power necessary to maintain the bitcoin network functioning and lets them collect a small part as a reward for this job, a thing that lets the network run based on this incentive. But normally, mining has been aimed at the tech-savvy users and normal people has been left out. But Canaan Creative, one of the largest mining hardware company is set to bring mining to the living room, by releasing a new TV set that will let you mine cryptocurrencies while you watch your favorite shows, according to SCMP.
Canaan Creative is a Chinese mining hardware manufacturer that is the second largest in all the world, just behind the mining monster conglomerate leader called Bitmain. While they have had a great success with their own line of miners branded “Avalon”, they are also betting to bring mining to the tabletop by releasing this 43′ TV set called the AvalonMiner Inside. The TV is aimed at those who want a comprehensive TV watching experience and also want to earn a little money by having it because it will only have a processing power of 2,3 TH, almost the sixth part of the power of most successful miner released by its rival, the Antminer S9.
The TV will also feature advanced AI features like speech recognition and for mining enthusiasts, it will also have the option of displaying the mining specs on the screen, including the total bitcoin produced in a determined timeframe. While the company admits this is just a first generation product, its aim is to include this kind of technology in other TV sets of more recognized brands to really speed up the adoption.
The irruption of these technologies into appliances mean that cryptocurrencies are really making its way to the society as we know it. Maybe we will see later a mining washer or dryer? You never know.
