Boxing Legend Manny Pacquiao Enters The Crypto World

The eight-division world champion in boxing and now a Philippine senator, Manny Pacquiao has started to venture into the world of cryptocurrency by partnering up with a Singapore start-up Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX)- a cryptocurrency exchange platform which allows celebrities to created their own digital currencies.
As said by the company, these “Celebrity Tokens” may be used to buy limited edition merchandise, tickets and other services from celebrities who are registered in the GCOX platform. The coins can also reserve slots for fans in exclusive invites, meet-and-greets, live streaming and other forms of interactions with their idols through the Celeb-Connect service.
Since Pacquiao is one of the very first investors of the company, he is already set to launch his very own Celebrity Token. According to reports it will be called “PAC Coin”, a name which came from his famed nickname “Pacman”.
On the other hand, other celebrities have also endorsed digital currencies. As a matter of fact, more and more celebrities are encouraged to invest in the industry as it grows more popular.
Some of the most prominent names in the crypto game are actor Jamie Foxx, heiress and socialite Paris Hilton, football superstar Luis Suarez, rapper The Game, comedian Kevin Hart and last but not the least, American boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who beat Pacquiao in their legendary fight last 2015. Mayweather has shown support for Stox’s initial coin offering(ICO) to his 16 million followers in Instagram. He also went on Twitter to endorse the Centra Token sale, a debit card which allows its users to spend digital currencies in retail stores using debit debit cards.
