Bitcoin Experiencing Unprecedented Growth

Bitcoin was initially created in 2008 when the global financial crisis was at its brink with the publishing of its white paper authored by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. The white paper titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” was released on on October 31 which is referred to as a ground zero phase of Bitcoin despite that, the first actual bitcoin was successfully mined on January 3, 2009.

After about ten years since the first Bitcoin block was successfully mined, many critics have lashed the digital currency, calling it several derogatory names with some regarding it as ‘dead.’ Bitcoin still stays winning as it retains its position as the most popular cryptocurrency in the globe with a current market capitalization of over $115 billion as at press time.
