A book by the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto could be in the works, according to a cryptic post submitted on a website linked to Satoshi Nakamoto himself, as an article published by Fortune magazine tells. If true, this could effectively bring some insight to the identity and motives why he created Bitcoin.
A lot has been said about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, but the real answer is that nobody really knows who he/she is. The book, or as it is described in the post, the “short story” would include the most common doubts about bitcoin and the process that lead to the creation of the blockchain application that came to be as big as it is today.
As a weird comment, the post also talks about the genesis blocks of bitcoin, implying that there was more than one; it is commonly believed that bitcoin blockchain originated from this block, but this comment confuses some scientists and people in general.
The author of the post (the possible Satoshi Nakamoto) also confirms that this is not a real name, more than a pseudonym to protect his/her identity. About this, he states:
I SHOULD STATE IT PUBLICLY, ALTHOUGH BY NOW IT IS ASSUMED, BUT HAS NEVER BEEN PUBLICLY STATED BEFORE, SO I WILL MAKE IT OFFICIAL. SATOSHI NAKAMOTO IS NOT A REAL NAME. SPECIFICALLY, NOT A LEGAL NAME. IT IS PRIMARILY THE ESSENCE OF THOUGHTS AND REASON.
Not a thing has been said by scholars who have analyzed the writing style of Nakamoto in his old email about the probable authenticity of this post. But the probable publishing of a book could put in jeopardy the anonymity of Satoshi Nakamoto, depending on the way that it could be handled. Nonetheless, if this book evet gets published, authentic or not, is guaranteed to be a best seller; cryptocurrency lovers will flock to buy it due to the minuscule chance of being written by the mystery man, Satoshi Nakamoto himself.
