He clarifies that this is an urgent matter so simplicity within the system of donating will be applied in order to immediately help the victims. Zhao said that their team is now contacting the local authorities of Japan to figure out the final logistics and to deliver their message of cooperation within the tragedy.
Meanwhile, in appreciation with the persons who will donate with their charity, Binance said that the users will get “bonus points for future listing requests” and that they might consider the donation towards the listing fees.
With this move, an amount of $90,000 worth of ETH and $1.05 Million worth of ERC-20 tokens are being collected according to Etherscan; while others are still being counted as of now. Now, positive reactions are being spread out in the social media because of the Binance’s generosity to help those in need and by giving them slight addition of cryptocurrencies.
Japan is recently experiencing one of the dangerous rainfall ever recorded in the country’s history. Since Saturday, more than 60 people are dead and dozens are missing after the heavy rainfall caused the rivers to burst water in Hiroshima and other cities. According to BBC, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ordered to evacuate almost 2 million people affected by the typhoon. He said that “There are still many people missing and others in need of help,” the prime minister told reporters on Sunday.
With this generous help from Binance, massive donations are soon expected to pop up; making an enormous benefit for the victims in West Japan. Although, not the first time to use cryptocurrency for donations, these acts of kindness and unity represents the great thing behind online currencies.
