I am Jide Idowu. A stay-at-home dad and a cryptocurrency enthusiast. I have had my hands on freelance writing for over five years, researching and writing guides, reviews, and latest cryptocurrency news for various blogs and individuals world over.

Who says you can’t go around the world spending cryptocurrencies? As many believe, cryptocurrencies are only good for speculations. But with a little research, you’ll find people and businesses who actually accept cryptocurrencies.

Jaide Barclay, an Australian woman, makes the rounds with her crypto adventure. Barclay, until now, since she joined the crypto industry in 2017 never spent her cryptos. She, like everyone else, held on to her cryptos for gains.

Recently, she sets out to attend the London Blockchain Week. She also had plans to visit 10 different countries documenting her crypto quest on her vlog.

She observed that there were many businesses accepting cryptocurrencies. But connecting with these businesses was where the problem lies. People looking for where to spend their cryptocurrencies would have to do a lot of research.

Jaide Barclay Hopes Cryptocurrencies Would Be The Future Of Micro-payments

Barclay is one of the few people aiming for a global adoption for cryptocurrencies. She’ll love to see more businesses around the world adopt cryptocurrencies. This will enable more people to travel globally without foreign exchange concerns.

What’s Hindering Cryptocurrency Adoption?

A lot of people are staying clear off cryptocurrencies because of its volatility. Businesses don’t want to see their incomes plunge in a few seconds, causing them to lose money. In the part of individuals who have cryptos to spend, they don’t want to let go of their coins, claiming its too early.

As the industry continues to grow, technologies spring forth, solving certain challenges. Businesses don’t have to worry about market volatility anymore. Gateways are now in place to make accepting cryptocurrencies smooth and easy. Businesses don’t have to think about their wealth declining anymore. These gateways will immediately exchange crypto payments into fiat.

Are Businesses Accepting Cryptocurrencies?

Online and offline businesses are getting into cryptocurrencies as awareness grows. It’s become clearer that it’s one of the best ways to receive money from anyone around the globe.

As of April of 2019, there are a couple of things you can pay for using cryptocurrencies. This ranges from buying coffee, paying for a house, to buying a Jek Ski as reported by BTCNN on April 15, 2019.
