An Afghan Non-Profit Teaches Coding To Women And Rewards Them With Ethereum

A non-profit coding organization, Code To Inspire, is teaching Afghan women how to code and has also found the way for women to be rewarded with ethereum for their coding prowess, defying sex inequality and reaffirming the value of coding for any society. According to an article written by Coindesk, women are doing incredibly well coding, and also have become top earners.
Code to inspire is a revolutionary nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring equality, empowerment, and change to Afghan women through teaching coding skills. In this way, they are able to break the mold of what women would do, and provide them with the tools to demonstrate that they can do more than just housework; and help their counterparts in the home economy.
But being a non-profit, there is little that they could do to help to reward their women for their work. They have partnered with an organization called The Bounties Network, that provides services for bug hunting and fixing for a number of coding projects. In this way, the women can learn to code efficiently and also get rewarded by their effort in doing so. And they have shown that they are capable of doing it; climbing to the second spot in the board of money collected.
The objective of Code to Inspire is to insert as many women as possible into the workforce of Afghanistan, but there is still a lot to do; women only comprise 16% of the working adults of that country, according to its own webpage. And rewarding them with Ethereum bring other problems too because Afghan people are not invested in cryptocurrencies and have trust issues with exchanges overall. But most of the women have decided to save in cryptocurrencies. There is no trusty way of spending cryptocurrencies in Afghanistan today, but they wait that in the future, this will change to let them exchange their ether for local currencies.
So, even with the prices dropping, cryptocurrencies like Ethereum are still making a difference in these women’s lives.
