The company is located in Prague, Czech Republic, and Florida, USA. It has been selling machines since 2014 and on its platform, the company states that over 2284 machines have been sold in over 63 countries.

General Bytes boasts of taking advantage of the functionality of Android, Bitcoin, and the Blockchain to enable the functionality of its machines. Likewise, these hardware devices support over 123 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, PaCcoin, Dogecoin, Digibyte, Linda, and LSK.

Its machines can either be mounted on a wall or a stand. In that regard, you’ll find devices such as the BATM Two Classica ($3,249), BATM ThreeL+ ($7,499), BATM Two Large ($3,999), CortexPay ($649), and RCKit ($1,500). Each of these is priced without their accessories and will cost more if these are added.

Genesis Coin

Genesis Coin has the second highest number of BATMs based on Coin ATM Radar’s report and thus, it is one of the most popular cryptocurrency ATMs in 2019. The data shows that there are 1410 BATMs where 20 were recently added in some countries. The California, US-based company accepts Bitcoin, Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin cash, Dogecoin, among others.

The company’s machines include the Genesis 1 2-way ($14,500) and Satoshi 1, 1-way ($6,800) or 2-way ($8,900) BATMs. The former comes with features such as a fingerprint reader, barcode scanner, high definition camera, and electronic cash vault. Satoshi, on the other hand, incorporates the features of Genesis 1 as well as an electronic locking system.


Lamassu has also taken its spot as one of the popular brands of BATMs across the world. It boasts of 449 machines and has recorded an increment of 10 machines in certain locations. The Luzern, Switzerland-based company’s machines allow users to also buy and sell Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, Ether, Zcash, Monero, Dash, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

In the same vein, Lamassu has machines such as the Sintra two-way ($8,506), Sintra Forte Cryptomat ($10,094), Douro II ($5,897), and Gaia ($4,083). The Sintra, for instance, features a high-security vault and it can be upgraded a Kaba Mas auditable lock.

These aside, BTCNN on February 13 informed that a majority of Bitcoin ATMs are located in the U.S. ranking in with 2472 as at March 5. So far, 59 new installations have been carried out in the region. Other regions coming in the top are Canada (633), Austria (269) and the UK (210).
